2016 Walleye League
Week 5 brought heavy NW winds 20+mph and made fishing tough as only 21 fish were weighed in. Top weight for the night went to Hartman/Amdahl/Ackerman with 3 fish for 12.11lbs. Second place went to Huebner/Huebner/ Oletzke with 3 fish for 9.90 and big fish of the night for 7.42lbs. In third was Wellnitz/Wellnits/Trap with 2 fish for 9.78. Next week is the final week as Hartman/Amdahl/Ackerman are running away with it at a new record 60.74lbs followed by Sunne/Sprung/Settje at 40.04 lbs.

Sunne/Sprung/Settje win Week 4!
Southwest winds and steady warm weather resulted in another good week of fishing! In addition to the walleye fishing anglers reported several crappies, bluegills, white bass and other fish. Coming out on top this week was Sunne/Sprung/Settje weighing 4 fish for 13.49lbs. In second was Ackerman/Amdahl/Hartman with 4 fish for 12.70lbs and the big fish of the night at 6.23lbs. Rounding out the top three was Wellnitz/Wellnits/ Trapp with 3 fish for 12.33lbs.

Arndt/Danielson/Frisch (Meyer sub) win Week 3!
In week 3 action Big Stone lake put up a challenge of very clear water, however anglers were able to overcome the challenge with another 35 walleyes weighed in. Coming out on top this week was Arndt/Danielson/Frisch (Meyer sub) weighing in a 4 fish limit for 13.04lbs. In second place was team Roelke/Roelke/Thomas wit 4 fish for 10.15lbs and rounding out the top three was Spors/Henricksen/Sackrieter with 4 fish for 6.96lbs. The big fish of the week and fourth place went to Huebner/Oletzke/Karels (Huebner sub) with 1 fish for 6.87lbs. Next week league hours will be extended to 6:30-10:00pm.
Hartman/Amdahl/Ackerman win BACK to BACK!
In a tight battle for first place with some big baskets Hartman/Amdahl/Ackerman came out on top with 4 fish for 16.88 followed by Sunne/Sprung/Settje with 4 fish for 16.66lbs! Both teams had a 6+ pound walleye! In 3rd place was Spors/Henrickson/Sackrieter with 4 fish for 12.56lbs. Big fish of the night was 7.58lbs caught by Robinson/Kuefler/Hanson. A total of 35 fish were caught. Temps were in the mid 60’s at take off with a 15-25mph west wind.

Hartman/Amdahl/Ackerman win week 1!
With 22 teams competing in league this year Hartman/Amdahl/Ackerman came out on top for week 1 weighing 4 fish for 15.18lbs and big fish of the night at 6.81lbs. In 2nd place was Carlson/Finberg/Morrissette with 4 fish for 11.87lbs and in 3rd was Lee/Karels (fishing for Huebner/Oletzke) with 3 fish for 8.67lbs. The weather was awesome as the temps were in the upper 60’s and the night night started with north winds of 10-15 eventually laying down to nothing. A total of 31 fish were weighed for 79.89lbs.
Hartman/Amdahl/Ackerman win week 6!
Fishing 80 degree temps, hot sun and no wind was thought to be a challenge, but turned out to be the most fish caught all year in league! Coming out on top this week was Jim Hartman, Paul Amdahl and Jason Ackerman with 4 fish for 13.60 pounds followed by the Kool Aid kids of Tanner Arndt, Drew Danielson and Dan Sitter with 4 fish for 12.52 pounds and they also had the big fish of the night at 5.30 pounds! Week 6 was the final week of the year and the top three teams for the year earning an embroidered cap were:
1st Place – Artie Arndt, Ryan Danielson, Scott Meyer……. 19 fish – 50.10lbs
2nd Place – Tanner Arndt, Drew Danielson, Dan Sitter…..12 fish – 42.76lbs
3rd Place – Cody Backstrand, Tyler Scoblic, Jake Hughes..17 fish – 41.86lbs
A total of 180 fish were caught averaging 2.34lbs per fish.
Arndt/Meyer/Frisch win week 5!
Fishing post cold front on a beautiful night team Arndt/Meyer/Frisch (Danielson sub) came to the scales with 4 fish for 15.13lbs including the big fish of the night of 5.91lbs. In second place on the night was Backstrand/Hughes/Scoblic with 4 fish for 12.63lbs. A total of 32 fish were weighed on the night at an average of 2.58 pounds per fish. Next week is the final week of the year.
The Kool-Aid kids win week 4!
Fishing post cold front conditions were tough for most anglers as only 23 fish were weighed, but the Kool-Aid kids (Tanner Arndt, Drew Danielson and Dan Sitter) were able to bring in 3 fish for 9.15lbs netting them top honors and $200 cash and moves them into 2nd place in the overall standings! In second place was Artie Arndt and Ryan Danielson (Scott Meyer absent) with 3 fish for 8.63lbs and the big fish of the night at 5.15lbs good for a total of $175. Cooler water temps have slowed the bite as water temps are at 57 degrees, the same temp we had on fishing opener. With only 2 weeks remaining the team of the year is still within reach of many teams.
Team Vandover hits the jackpot on week 3!
In week three fishing action it was Team Vandover on the top of the scoreboard with 4 fish weighing in at 14.06 pounds including the big fish of the night with a 6.74lb walleye! In second place was team young guns (Tanner Arndt, Drew Danielson, Dan Sitter) with 2 nice fish weighing 9.32lbs beating third place by 1/100th team Wellnitz/Trap who also took over the lead for team of the year! The race is heating up as less than 1 lb separates the top 3 teams with many others close behind! Next week teams will take off from Ortonville again and they will get to fish until 10pm!
Huge basket for Carlson/Finberg/Morrissette!
Weather was almost too nice in week two action as the temps were in the upper 60’s and no wind and a lot of sunshine, but it was not too nice for Carlson/Finberg/Morrissette as they netted a near record basket of 4 walleyes for 16.36 and the big fish of the night at 7.33 pounds! In second place was Hartman/Amdahl/Ackerman weighing 4 fish for 11.33 pounds. A total of 32 fish were caught with an average weight of 2.38 pounds. Next week will be the final week at Hartford Beach and then league will move down to Ortonville.
Wellnitz/Wellnitz/Trapp win Week 1
In first week action anglers battled north winds 20+ mph and temps in the 40-50’s at take off. That would not stop team Wellnitz/Wellnitz/Trapp from bringing a nice 4 fish limit to scale weighing in at 11.48 pounds! In second place was team Arndt/Meyer/Danielson with a 4 fish limit weighing 10.72 pounds and rounding the top three was Spors/Henricksen/Sackrieter with 4 fish for 8.42 pounds. Winning the big fish of the week was Roelke/Madsen with a 5.99 pound walleye and close behind was Arndt/Danielson/Sitter with a 5.56 pound walleye. Week one all teams left from Hartford Beach and about half went north and half went south at take off. Next week will be run out of Hartford again. There is 16 teams in this years league and if teams still want to enter, stop down to Artie’s Bait and Tackle before next Wednesday and get signed up.

TEAM WELLNITZ GO OUT WITH A BANG!
In the final week of league Shawn Wellnitz and his partner Jason caught 4 fish for 11.58 pounds followed by Heck/Berger with 4 fish for 7.48 pounds and Kevin Berdan/Amber Scherer with 4 fish for 6.67 pounds. Big fish of the night was caught by Roelke/Madsen with a 5.21 pound walleye. Team of the year and King of the Hill champions were Jeremy Ohm and Justin Wittnable as they weighed in 2 fish for 6.07 pounds giving them a total weigh on the year of 61.51 pounds which is a league record weight for the year! In second in King of the Hill and team of the year was Artie Arndt and Scott Meyer who weighed one fish for 3.41 pounds on the night giving them a total of 56.26 pounds. Final standings and a BIG surprise that happened at league will be posted tomorrow!
ROELKE/MADSEN WIN BIG ON TOUGH BITE!
Week 5 action saw calm water and a tough bite. But not for Scott Roelke and Greg Madsen as they brought in a 4 fish limit for 14.05 pounds and the biggest fish of the night at 6.84 pounds! In second was Artie Arndt and Scott Meyer with 4 fish for 8.46 and in third was Backstrand/Scoblic with 3 fish for 7.21. Next week will conclude the season as Ohm/Witt face Arndt/Meyer for King of the Hill as well as Team of the year! Ohm/Witt lead Arndt/Meyer by 2.59 pounds.
HASSLEN/BRANDRIET WIN WEEK 4!
In week 4 Big Stone Lake was clear up to 14 feet of water in some places. Taking top honors for the night was Brent Hasslen and Eric Brandriet weighing 4 fish for 11.99 pounds. In second was Rich Huebner and Mike Andreason with 4 fish for 11.73 and they also won the big fish pot with a 5.31 pound walleye. A total of 39 fish were weighed for 86.42 pounds. Next weeks King of the Hill tournament is down to the final four and it will be Ohm/Wittnable vs Huebner/Andreason and Arndt/Meyer vs Heck/Berger.
RECORD WEIGHTS AS OHM/WITTNABLE WIN IN WEEK 3!
Week 3 saw Big Stone Lake fishing at its finest! With 12 of 18 teams catching a 4 fish limit and 13 pounds not even cashing a check, the bite was on big time! In 1st place for the night was Jeremy Ohm and Justin Wittnable with another big basket weighing 4 fish for 14.85 pounds followed by a close 2nd place of Eric Brandriet and Brent Hasslen weighing 4 fish for 14.59 pounds. 3rd place went to team young guns as two 16 year olds Drew Danielson and Travis Westlund weighed 4 fish for 13.98 pounds and 4th place and big fish of the night went to Artie Arndt and Mike Frisch (Scott Meyer sub) weighing 4 fish for 13.72 pounds and a 6.76 pound walleye. A total of 58 fish were weighed in for over 143 pounds.
HARTMAN/AMDAHL WIN WEEK 2!
Week 2 of the Big Stone Walleye League saw a tight battle for the top three spots. The team of Jim Hartman and Paul Amdahl nudged out Scott Meyer and Artie Arndt for the top spot, with the week one winning duo of Jeremy Ohm and Justin Wittnable continuing their hot start by claiming 3rd. Hartman and Amdahl weighed four walleyes for 12.45-pounds, Meyer and Arndt caught 4 fish for 12.32 and Ohm and Wittnable’s 4-fish limit weighted 11.37-pounds. The 4th place money went to Jared Heck and Sam Berger with a 4-fish limit weighing 7.84-pounds. The Danielson team, Ryan and Drew, claimed big fish honors with a 5.89 walleye.
Despite severe cold front conditions, 46 walleyes came to the scale in week two as compared to 30 fish last week. Also, six 4-fish limits were weighed this week, as compared to four limits last week. Next week begins the annul “King of the Hill” tournament with the top 16 teams squaring off in head-to-head competition.

OHM/WITTNABLE HIT BIG ON WEEK 1!
In week one action Jeremy Ohm and Justin Wittnable came in with a whopping 16.06 pounds for 4 fish and they also took the big fish pot with a 6.68 pound walleye. In second place was Jared Heck and Sam Berger with a nice 4 fish limit at 11.94 pounds and in third was Artie Arndt fishing with Mike Frisch (Scott Meyer’s sub) with a 4 fish limit for 8.28 pounds. A total of 30 fish were caught.
ARNDT/MEYER WIN WEEK 6!
In the final week of walleye league Artie Arndt and Scott Meyer brought in 4 fish for 12.93 pounds to win the night! In a very close second place was Cody Backstrand and Tyler Scoblic with 4 fish for 12.90 pounds and in third was Kevin and Andy Berdan with 4 fish for 12.51 pounds which also won them King of the Hill! With a big shift in the overall standings it was a very tight finish with Jim Hartman and Paul Amdahl squeeking out a team of the year win with 57.13 pounds and in second was Artie Arndt and Scott Meyer with 56.41 pounds. Rounding out the top three was Wade and Mark Vandover with 55.22 pounds. I was an amazing year of fishing with 317 walleyes weighed for 757.97 pounds at an average of 2.52 for the year which sets records for the Big Stone Walleye League! HARTMAN/AMDAHL WEIGH IN BIG ON WEEK 5!
The walleye fishing that has been so awesome is getting even better! Huge weights in week five left team Danielson with a great 4 fish limit for 11.88 pounds not even in the top 5 money winners. Never before have we seen weights like this ever in fishing league. In first place was Hartman/Amdahl who had 4 fish for 15.63. In second was Arndt/Meyer with 4 fish for 14.05 and in third was Ohm/Roggeman with 4 fish for 12.35 pounds. Another league record was set with a total weight of 153.42 pounds with 53 fish at an average of 2.89 pounds per fish! In King of the Hill next week it will be Berdans vs Vandovers for the championship. Next week is the last week of the year.
ROBINSON BRINGS IN A RINGER TO WIN WEEK 4!
In week four action the league dodged some bad weather to bring in another pile of great fish! Winning this week was Rick Robinson and his substitute Matt Hipple who had 4 fish for 14.15 pounds. In second was Wade and Mark Vandover with 4 fish for 12.15 and right behind them was another father son team Ryan and Drew Danielson with 4 fish for 12.11 pounds. It was a father son night on the water except for Rick Robinson who may now be claiming Matt Hipple as his son:) A total of 54 fish were weighed with just over a 2.5 lb average! In the final four King of the Hill action next week it will be Vandovers vs Kuefler/Hanson and Berger/Heck vs. Berdans.
BERGER AND HECK MAKE THEIR MOVE ON WEEK 3!
Another great night of fishing and even with post cold front Josh Berger and Jared Heck were able to bring a nice 4 fish limit to the scales weighing 12.32 pounds! In second place Ryan and Brandon Dexter with 4 fish for 11.35 and in third was Todd Kuefler and Brian Hansen with their 3rd limit in a row of 4 fish weighing 11.26 pounds. A total of 51 walleyes were weighed at an average size of 2.26 pounds!

VANDOVERS HIT BIG AFTER A LATE START!
After a late start with battery problems Wade and Mark Vandover layed into some dandy walleyes in week 2 action. The father son team weighed in 4 walleyes for 13.45 pounds with a big fish of 6.63 pounds! They also reported a 23″ walleye they had to release because they already had their 2 over 20″. In second place was Artie Arndt and Scott Meyer with 4 fish weighing 9.29lbs and in third was Jim Hartman and Paul Amdahl with 4 fish for 9.06. For the second week in a row it was great weather and a lot of fish were caught. Many teams reported the walleyes are starting to move into the south end of the lake and the crankbaits are heating up!
2013 WALLEYE LEAGUE SETS RECORD CATCH!
The Big Stone walleye club held the first week of walleye league at Hartford Beach with the ice just coming off the lake yesterday. The fishing was fantastic and a new record catch was had of 59 walleyes by 20 teams! This weeks top team was Tim Giese and Rich Huebner weighing a 4 fish limit for 11.93 including a monster male walleye at 5.6lbs! In second place was Rick and Dillon Robinson with 4 fish weighing 10.33lbs. and in third was Ryan and Drew Danielson with 4 fish weighing 8.62 pounds. The record catch was done by most teams pitching a jig and minnow in 3 foot of water or less. CLICK HERE FOR THE RESULTS!
EXCITING FINISH TO A GREAT YEAR!
With only 4 pounds seperating the top 7 teams, Dan Sunne and Todd Sprung won the year with 17 fish weighing 33.81 pounds. They needed just under two pounds going into the night to win and weighed 2 fish for 2.85 pounds. Top honors for the night went to Wade & Mark Vandover with 4 fish weighing 7.92 pounds. They moved from 7th place to 3rd place and missed winning the league by only 1.8 pounds. Second place for the night and finally getting some stats was Artie Arndt & Eric Brandriet weighing 2 fish for 7.46 with one of those fish tipping the scales at 6.06 pounds. In King of the Hill the “young guns” Dylan and Tanner Arndt claimed the title by weighing 2 fish for 2.84 pounds beating the Robinsons. In summary, it was a great year of fishing with 225 walleyes weighed in. The Big Stone Walleye Club would like to thank all the fishermen and sponsors for another great year!
DEXTER & KUEFLER WIN WEEK 5
In week 5 action team Dexter & Kuefler brought a winning limit of walleyes in for 9.13. Second through fourth all had limits in the seven pound range. Still no big fish being brought in. In the King of the hill tournament Dylan & Tanner Arndt advanced and will be going against Rick & Dillion Robinson next week for the championship. The overall standings are tightening up for the battle of the top five led by Rick and Dillon Robinson andDan Sunne and Todd Sprung only two pounds behind with several teams within reach. Next week is the last week and will likely be an exciting weigh-in! The public is always invited to attend the 9:30 weigh-in!
KUEFLER & HANSON WIN WEEK 4
Todd Kuefler and Brian Hanson took top honors in week 4 weighing 4 fish for 10.97lbs. Close behind was last years league champions Dan Sunne and Todd Sprung with 4 fish weighing 10.57lbs, In third place was Team Trienen which was represented by Nate Trienen and his grandpa Rollie Karels. They weighed 4 fish for 7.99 pounds. In King of the Hill action next week the final four will be John Meyer/Jeff Anderson vs the Robinsons and Dylan and Tanner Arndt vs Todd Kuefler and Brian Hanson.
WEEK 3 ROBINSONS HIT BIG…AGAIN!
In week 3 action Rick and Dillon Robinson struck another big basket of 4 fish weighing 11.65! These two guys have now moved from zero to hero and are sitting in first place overall as well. In second place was Dexter and Kuefler weighing 4 fish for 10.89 pounds. A record 44 fish were brought in to the scales by 19 teams. An intersting statistic about how good the bite is this year is with 19 teams, this year the league has already caught more fish in 3 weeks then the entire 6 week league in 2010 with 23 teams! In King of the Hill action there was several upsets:) We won’t go into details on that…
WEEK 2 ROBINSONS MAKE A STATEMENT!
The first year league father/son team came back strong after a first week zero in week 2 action. They weighed 4 fish for 12.50 pounds. These two guys are no strangers to Big Stone Lake and have been very competitive in fishing tournaments on Big Stone Lake for many years! Rumor is it was dad (Rick) that picked the spot and caught all the fish. In second place was was Team Roelke with 4 fish for 9.47 and in third was Dan Sunne and Todd Sprung with 4 fish for 9.21 which also pushed them into first place overall! Rankings are now set for the King of the Hill tournament.
Giese and Giese (Huebner) off to a great start!
In week one action of the Big Stone Walleye League Tim Giese and Grump Giese came out on top weighing a 4 fish limit for a whopping 12.34 pounds! In their limit they also had one walleye that went just over 6 pounds. In second place was team Jim Hartman and Paul Amdahl. They weighed 4 fish for 10.86 pounds. The stable weather is to thank for one of the best nights of league ever. 19 teams fishing and 42 walleyes were caught. The league pays out nightly to the top 5 teams and it should be noted there was 2 teams that had 4 fish limits for 7+ pounds that did not even make the money! Next week will complete the rankings for the King of the Hill competition.
Congrats to Scott Roelke and Greg Madsen on their 3rd win this year. They brought in 4 walleyes for 10.10 lbs. which also gave them 3rd place overall on the year. 2nd place for the night and the year went to Artie Arndt and Eric Brandriet. They netted 3 nice walleyes for 9.67 lbs and won the KING OF THE HILL tournament. In 3rd place for the night and claiming the League Champions title was Dan Sunne and Todd Sprung with 4 fish for 8.81lbs. This years league is now complete and was one of the best years ever as far as numbers of fish caught. 176 walleyes were weighed at an average of 1.98 lbs. per fish. SUNNE/SPRUNG SET 2 NEW LEAGUE RECORDS!
Week 5 was huge for Dan Sunne and Todd Sprung! They netted a 4 fish limit for a all-time league record of 15.71 with a record setting 8.55lb walleye! This big weight also gives them over a 6 lb lead going into the final week. In second place this week was Artie Arndt and Eric Brandriet with a 9.18 lb. basket. In King of the Hill action it will be Huebner/Giese vs Arndt/Brandriet for the championship next week. In the overall standings 3.5 lbs seperates 2nd – 5th place which will make next week very interesting!
Graf and Schultz prove consistant!
Week four was another great week with 8 teams bringing in a 4 fish limit! A total of 39 fish were brought in averaging just over 2lbs. Team Graf/Schultz took top honors with 4 fish for 11.10 lbs, which also gives them the top spot in the overall standings! In 2nd place was Jim Hartman and Paul Amdahl with 4 fish for 10.87 and they also had the first “Big Fish” of the year with a 6.87lb walleye. In King of the Hill action it will be Team Vandover vs. Arndt/Brandriet and Berger/Heck vs. Geise/Huebner in the final four next week. The weather was cool with 15-25 mph Northeast winds. The bite on Big Stone continues to be good!
SUNNE & SPRUNG STRIKE BIG!
Week 3 was a great week for fishing! Temps in the low 70’s and a Southeast wind of 15-25mph and steady weather netted a total of 40 walleyes averaging nearly 2lbs per fish. Dan Sunne and Todd Sprung lead the night with a repectable 4 fish limit for 11.74 lbs. In second place with another nice limit was Rich Huebner fishing with substitute Pete Karels for 10.59 lbs. A total of 5 teams weighed a 4 fish limit!
ROELKE/MADSEN DOMINATE AGAIN!
Scott Roelke and Greg Madsen had another great week weighing 4 fish for 10.57lbs. Fishing overall was good with the entire league catching 30 walleyes! Fishing was good from the islands all the way up to fish creek. Many league fishermen think next week the big walleyes will start biting. King of the Hill action will start next week. ROELKE/MADSEN WIN WEEK 1
Little to no wind and a beautiful night turned into another cold front at 8pm, but Team Scott Roelke and Greg Madsen managed to win the night with 2 fish for 4.52 lbs. Most boats made the claim of using a lot of gas. In second place was Team Dallas Roggeman and Bill Schellberg weighing 3 fish for 4.29 lbs. Third place went to the new Team of Jackson Graf and Eric Schults with 2 fish for 4.00 lbs. and Artie Arndt and Eric Brandriet got 4th place with 1 fish for 2.70 lbs. WEEK 6 – Kuefler/Hansen connect with 4 fish!
Week 6 was another tough week with only 10 fish caught and nearly half on them by Todd Kuefler and Brian Hansen. They weighed in 4 fish for 8.05lbs. According to Todd, this was a nice week after losing a 1st place fish at the boat last week. In King of the Hill action Schellberg/Roggeman took the Championship title with 1 for fish for 1.33lbs over Arndt/Brandriet with zero. The Team of the year standings for this years years teams which will be receiving plaques and Cabelas NTC entries are 1st place – Arndt/Brandriet 35.21lbs, 2nd place – Roggeman/Schellberg 25.86lbs, 3rd Place Torgerson/VanHout 21.00lbs. The Big Stone Walleye Club will be holding the end of the year party at Tim Giese’s house on August 11 at 6pm. It will be a potluck snack and bring your gun and ammo for a clay pigeon shoot with cards and dice to follow. Week 5 – 2.89lbs wins $300 for Hartman and Amdahl
Week 5 was again tough fishing. Big Stone has transitioned into a day bite more than a night bite. Several anglers reported having their fish by 7pm or shortly after and nothing after 8pm. 12 fish were caught with a 1.59lb average size. In the King of the Hill tournament it will be Arndt/Brandriet vs. Schellberg/Roggeman for the championship next week. The highlight of the night was that Greg Peterson brought one of Carlos Huebners kids (not sure on the name) out fishing during league and they caught several fish. The walleye club is taking donations for Carlos Huebners family. The club also cleaned the nights fish and will be donating them to the silent auction at Carlos’s benefit which is still TBA. Sampson and Ackerman Take Week 4!
Fishing on Big Stone has improved with more 14-18 inch walleyes being caught. A total of 26 walleyes were caught this week averaging 1.80 lbs. Team Scott Sampson and Jason Ackermann topped the scales with a 4 fish limit for 9.30 lbs, good for $300. Second place went to Jim Hartman and Paul Amdahl with 4 fish for 5.97lbs., and they are working there way up the standings. The King of the Hill is now down to the Final Four. Next week Arndt and Brandriet will battle Forrette and Forrette and in the bottom bracket it will be Roggeman and Schellberg going against Oakes and Andreisen. The overall winners will receive a $200 Bud’s Bait gift certificate and 2 windshirts and second place will get a $100 gift certificate. There is only 2 weeks left of league.
WEEK 3 – A Tough Bite
Week three was the worst bite so far this year with a total 17 fish caught by 9 teams. The water temps have warmed up to the 70 degree plus range and the lake was very calm. Here are the results from week 3:

TRIENEN’S SCORE BIG ON WEEK 2!
Fishing on Big Stone really picked up for week 2! MaryKate and Paul Trienen won week 2 with 2 fish for a whopping 13.97 lbs! (Rumor is Mary Kate caught them both). 2nd Place went to Artie Arndt and Eric Brandriet with 2 fish for 11.58lbs (Big Fish 8.25lbs). 3rd Place was Dallas Roggeman and Bill Schellberg with 4 fish for 9.59lbs. 4th Place went to Greg Peterson and Mary Amberg with 1 big fish at 7.62lbs. 5th Place was Pete Karels and Rich Huebner with 3 fish for 6.95lbs. A total of 32 fish weighing 89.31lbs, an average size of 2.79lbs per fish.
The Big Stone Walleye Club hosts a 6 week walleye league that runs on Wednesday nights. There are 23 teams competing in this years league. The fishing hours are 6:30 – 9:30 pm and the public is invited to watch the weighins that begin at 9:30pm. Each team is allowed to weigh 4 walleyes with a 14 inch minimum and only 2 walleyes can be over 20 inches. Come on down and watch the weighins!
